Audit logs
Compliance isn't just having the right rules — it's being able to prove what happened. FoolProof attributes every meaningful action to a person, and keeps it searchable for as long as you need it.
1. Who did what, and when
Because every cashier and manager signs in with their own login, every action they take carries their identity with it:
- Sales — who rang it, when, and on which register.
- Refunds and voids — who reversed it, and against which original sale.
- Price changes — who edited a product and what it changed from and to.
- Receiving — who logged a delivery and what came in.
2. Searching your history
The log is searchable and sortable on the server, across your whole history — not just a recent window loaded on screen — so you can find one specific action from months back as easily as one from this morning.
3. Exporting for an inspection
When a state inspector or your accountant asks for records, export the relevant slice of the log rather than reconstructing it by hand.
4. Why this matters for compliance
This is what makes the rest of FoolProof's compliance features trustworthy, not just present. Refusal records, dram-shop log entries, and end-of-shift cash reconciliation all rely on the same underlying fact: every action is attributed to a real person, on a real timestamp, that can't quietly disappear.
