This policy explains how FoolProof ("we," "us") handles information when you visit our site or use our platform. It covers our own data practices; each store on FoolProof is responsible for the privacy practices of its own storefront and customers.
From merchants and site visitors: account and contact details (name, business, email, phone), billing information, and usage/diagnostic data. When you operate a store on FoolProof, we process your store's data — including your customers' order, delivery, and age-verification information — on your behalf to run the service.
The FoolProof Driver app sends the driver's location to their store once when they go on duty, and about every 10 seconds only while they are driving an order (after pickup, until hand-off). It is not collected while the driver is off duty or between deliveries, customers never see it, and the detailed route is deleted after the store's retention period; the delivery record keeps only the start and end of the route, the times and the hand-off result, as alcohol-delivery law requires. At the door the app reads the barcode on the back of the customer's license (no photo is taken) and records the name and date of birth it contains, the age check result and the customer's signature for the store's delivery records.
To provide and improve the platform, set up and support your account, process payments, secure the service and prevent fraud, comply with law, and communicate with you.
Card payments are handled by third-party payment processors. FoolProof does not store full card numbers.
We share data only with service providers who help us run FoolProof (hosting and database, file storage, payment processing, delivery-address lookup, error monitoring with personal data turned off, email delivery, and, only for stores that switch on the AI Assistant, an AI model provider) under confidentiality obligations, and as required by law. We do not sell personal information.
Our marketing site and app use essential cookies to function and may use limited analytics to understand usage. You can control non-essential cookies in your browser.
We use encryption in transit and reasonable safeguards, and retain data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax, and alcohol-compliance obligations.
You may request access to or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements, by contacting us at [email protected]. If you are a customer of a store on FoolProof, please contact that store for requests about your order data.
